
Biography
Peter Kormendi, a.k.a. PEDRITO is a highly accomplished pianist who has been playing the piano since he was six years old. His musical journey began in Balatonoglár, Hungary, where he studied classical piano for six years before transitioning to jazz.
Peter's passion for jazz led him to perform with his school band and even on Hungarian National TV at the age of 14, which was a significant milestone in his career.
He later pursued his studies at the prestigious Bartok Bela Conservatory in Budapest, where he honed his skills in a wide of Latin genres under the tutelage of Richard Revesz. Additionally, Peter's studies with Aron Talas influenced his path towards mainstream and contemporary jazz, which further expanded his musical horizons. Peter's talent has taken him to the stage of the Budapest Jazz Club on several occasions, where he has showcased his exceptional skills and captivated audiences with his performances.
In 2019, Peter moved to the UK to study at Leeds Conservatoire, where he further expanded his repertoire by mastering African, Middle Eastern, and Indian rhythms under the guidance of Tom Cawley, Graham Harvey, and David Newton.
Peter's dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to excellence have made him a highly respected and sought-after pianist in the music industry.
